In the following pages, the gates and the main roads are referred to with their original names, therefore:

porta = gate	via = road, street	vicolo = lane	viale = avenue	piazza  /  largo = square, plaza

	From the starting point to the end, the tour measures about 7.3 km (4.5 miles); add 1.8 km ( 1.1 miles) for a short diversion. The following table shows the distances for each part: total length PART I 0.8 km ~ 0.5 mi PART II 3.2 km ~ 2 mi PART III 3.3 km ~ 2 mi  without the diversion 5.1 km ~ 3.2 mi  including the diversion
